Ailso Craig 4hp outboard - oil mix?

Anyone know the correct fuel/oil ratio for these engines? I Just picked one up thats hardly had any use having been kept as an emergency spare engine, but no information about it.

My mate has one. It is very reliable. Uses 50 to 1 mixture.
Has yours got a remote petrol tank? He has added a lawnmower petrol tank to his to make it easier to use on his tender.

I have a booklet on this engine which is presently on my cruiser, I will try and scan it and email you (send me a PM with your email address if interested). As paulrossall says they are reliable, we have had our one in the family for 34 years, It has spent a considerable time in the attic but always starts on the second pull after some maintenance.

Thanks Anyhail - I have sent a PM. Thanks Paulrossall, also. No, mine is a standard engine, then only alteration being the fuel connector as they are no longer easily available. As I said, this one has had hardly any use having spent most of its life as an emergency reserve engine, and is in excellent shape. It came with at least 2, possibly more, part dismantled engines for spares - so I will guarantee when it finally does break it will need the one bit I dont have...!
