Update on my batteries. I returned them for testing & Leoch arranged collection by TNT. That made it easy. They left me with reading of 12.7 volts but they recorded 12.9V on receipt. Possibly due to temp & gradual recovery.
I was questioned about use, my charging regime, voltages etc. & said that I was charging at correct voltages & from my description, my Dolphin charger seemed to be performing as expected.
They reported initial capacity when received at 54% & 57%. They discharged/charged to 13.2 v & got a reading of 86% & 76%. They repeated the discharge/recharge cycle & did not report the results, but instead sent me 2 new batteries. Even though they were out of warranty.
The new ones are extremely heavy. I showed to a couple of friends & they both expressed surprise. Not sure what that means, but if they were normal lead acid instead of AGM one would consider them better quality than some of the lightweight offerings on the market. I did stuggle lifting them aboard.
Now we have to see how they perform
However, I have to say that at all points in the process the technical team at Leoch were considerate, polite & receptive to my concerns. That has to be a plus.
