Is there anyone who charges Lifeline AGM batteries with an Adverc? Mine are less than a year old and I have developed a problem with overcharging at low revs. A load reduces the overcharging rate instantly, but it rockets back up immediately the load is removed. Went for the best and winced at the cost and since relaunch I've spent the best part of a month trying to track down the cause. On the installers advice I bought a new switch...no change. Battery supplier (Barden) and Adverc were insistent that it might be the alternator internal regulatoralthough the installer had checked the alternator. Testing with a brand new fully charged lead acid battery resulted in conventional voltages around the 14.4V mark. The AGMs overcharge...14.91 to 15.1 with and without the Adverc. The problem first manifested itself on the engine start battery and seemed to follow it when I switched the batteries around, but on fully charging the domestic battery the problem also occured. They are to be returned for testing, but I wonder if anyone else has had a similar or related problem.
