aerogen4 supply and fit in Solent area - who?

Any names of someone who would quote to supply and fit an aerogen4 in the Solent area.

There are a couple of boats in the Solent area I am interested in and I am trying to get ballpark costs on what I would want doing before I decide what to offer on which boat.

any names or recommendations would be very welcome

but too small for us

and the next boat will live on a mooring and hence the enquiry.
 
As this is Practical Boat Owner (and this is not meant to be patronising nor pompous), is there no way you could fit it yourself?

Many of us have fitting our own; the kit tends to arrive with everything you require. Connecting up to your battery banks is pretty simple. Mounting the pole is the most difficult part, but I would suggest in haynes manual terminology, this process would be 3.5 - 4 propellers out of 5 in a skills required rating. I only make it this high as depending on the boat, the pole and anchors for the pole and supports may require some jigging.

There are plenty on here, including myself, who will happily help out with what you might need and how to complete the job...

just a thought.
 
The boats I am interested are Solent and Eastwards. I live in West Devon and work away during the week. I have the skills but was after a quote to see if the £ and convenience were worth it or if the job was one I could do once I get whatever I buy westwards.
 
fair enough..

I just like to encourage people to try before breaking out their wallets.. this way they get to know their own boats when things invariably need repair in the future.
 
I completely agree; to me a large part of the pleasure of owning a boat is working on it. Over the years some of that has been eroded by regulation, no longer re-plumb gas or work on Mains power. Probably health and safety will stop us going up the mast soon..... Thanks for the offer anyway
