Aerial photos NB

About two years ago I came across a web site that showed aerial photos of the whole of Britain. I thought it was Ordinance Survey, but I can't find it now, does anybody else know this site?

There are ariel photos available on Multimap, but they are not terribly clear.

Those are low resolution previews. The downloads or prints you can buy are incredibly detailed

Thanks BrendanS and KATIEJ - Multimap and Getmapping are the same photos. I am afraid that these are not good enough.

As far as I know, the only people who have comprehensively covered the entire UK are getmapping. They were given a millenium grant for the purpose (originally site was millenium-map.com). The site has changed a lot in the past few years, and you used to be able to browse the high resolution pictures, but they have now removed these - you can only browse low res pictures to find the area you want, then buy the high res version.

Most sites on the internet offering entire UK coverage use getmapping's data

I know of many sites offering aerial photos, so if you can describe exactly what you are looking for, I may be able to help

Depending on what you are looking for, your local planning / building control department might help you with access to their "spy in the sky" photos

A couple of years back, there was a free disc in a newspaper that I recall covered almost the whole of the UK. Maybe that's what you are thinking of?
