Aegina Yacht services

I did read that it includes the price of water and electricity ,but I was asking if it included the lift and launch.

So presumably it does Not include the price of lift and launch .
How much will that cost?
Hope you don't mind me asking .

It does depend on the size and weight of individual boats,as a guide 300 euro for 32 ish to 500 for 50 footer

Price will be firm at the time of contract with yard.

If you want detailed info ,PM me with your email and I will give you the contract price.

cheers bob
ps Where may I ask have you been staying that includes the Lift and launch in storage cost?

That sounds reasonable for in/out.
We have been in Turkey for the last 5 years.our yearly cost includes 2 lift in and out per year.

Yes but what are your yearly cost inclusive of in out ,water and electricity?

Here 5 months in yard +600 + 300 for in out inclusive of water and elec.....Most of the other places are free or a few euro a week..I keep a 44 on Aegina town quay for 25 euro a week .
in Poros its cheaper,I could put you on a mooring for 20 euro a week .

44 ft for €25 per week? You are getting one hell of a discount, at least 40%. Is that an annual berth? The standard Greek port fees for my 38 ft are €35.80 per week including VAT; that's on the town quay at Porto Lagos in the Northern Aegean. If I pay monthly in advance I get a 20% discount.

There`s people here in the know, that pay nothing.

All I can Guarantee are the yard costs . and my moorings in Poros.

If there are "people in the know who pay nothing", no wonder there are cruising yachts which "work the system"; there was a yacht in here three weeks ago; proud to boast of 3 months in Greek harbours without paying a cent. It almost makes one wish that the Greeks were a bit more draconian in the collection of harbour dues.

There, rant over, won't say another word!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Most of the non payers are Greek flagged or Red Ensigns on Cyprus boats. They pay nothing to the port authority. does`t mean they don`t pay someone.

I think you'll find that many of the 'non-payers' are actually paying someone else who has a berth. If they don't have a boat there they prefer to let someone else use the berth rather than risk losing it.

There are a few who berth illegally and don't pay anyone but they are gradually being caught.

Unfortunately, due to the crisis, port authorities have few employees left to collect harbour dues from visiting yachts but I understand that they plan to tighten up on those who leave boats for any length of time.

For a while I collected harbour dues for Aegina Port Authority so I can tell you how they are calculated. There is one sum for entering the port, then a nightly fee based on length and whether you are stern-to or rafted onto another boat. Professional yachts pay at a lower rate than private ones and there are discounts for paying 1 month, 2 months, 1 year etc. in advance.

From memory you can get about a 40% discount for paying annually in advance.
