Aegean route for a couple old guys to enjoy

I think Corinth to Poros may be a bit ambitious to do in one day. You often have to hang around for a while waiting to go through the canal and it always takes longer than you think to get through.

An alternative stop, if you don't want to visit Aegina, is Korfos - you can go stern-to one of the tavernas if you don't want to anchor. Short sail to Epidavros from there the next day so you'd have plenty of time to visit the historical site. It's well worth it.

The south quay of Ermioni is called Mandrakia and is a good place to stop.

I'd go for a long sail to Kiparrisi the next day, then Plaka/Leonidio or Astrous on the way up to Nafplion.

If you're thinking of hiring a car to go to the Epidavros theatre, be aware that there is NO car hire in Palaia Epidavros. There is a bus though and plenty of taxis.

Yes - all excellent advice from OP's. It wasn't until I was recently in Messolonghi that I realised I'd seen Palarran ! Thank you to all the posters for the advise. It totally turned me around and in a very good way. I feel a lot more comfortable with the new route for my Dad's. This is what I have now:
June 3rd Tue - Athens airport to Corinth - I'm renting van to pick them up.
June 4th Wed - Corinth Canal to Aigina - 30nm - Try to transit around noon
June 5th Thu - Aigina - Athens Tour - Guide hired to pick up in Pireas, be back to Aigina by 3:00pm then to Poros for night
June 6th Fri - Poros - 20nm - Epidaurus - Guide to pick up in morning tour w/ stop at Nafplion
June 7th Sat - Poros to Kythnos - 50nm - Very early start. Anchor in Kolona
June 8th Sun - Kythnos to Syros - 45nm
June 9th Mon - Syros to Mykonos - 35nm
June 10th Tue - Mykonos - Delos Tour
June 11th Wed - Mykonos to Athens Airport

It was cheaper to fly from Mykonos then rent a minibus and drive them from Nafplion to the airport. It also reduced our distance to Turkey substantially. I guess you can't do it all. There is still a free day in the schedule because we could stop at Delos on our way from Syros to Mykonos.
