Advise sought - Considering selling Navigator

Been around here for quite some time since buying Navigator in Salerno, Italy and bringing her to Scotland (a rather long journey with lots of memories) ... having enjoyed her since 2004 cruising this beautiful country, our circumstances appears to be changing with pending house move, and among others, we are considering selling her ... so are now seeking some guidance on where it would be best starting to advertise and how to price her.

Navigator was launched in 1983, so not a young Lady, but she is still in pretty good nick achieving her 18 - 20 knot comfortable cruising and topping out at 25 knot ....

Interior wise, we have spent some time keeping her updated and can vouch for her substantial build quality as she wights in at 18.5 T in the lift with half empty tanks...

We ware considering putting her for sale to see how the market reacts on Boats and Outboards and price her up against her time period corrects smaller Princess 38 and 41's, and wondered if the esteemed forum members here would agree that the proposition was realistic, or if we put a higher value upon her than what the market would accept ... Have attached a couple of recent pictures here just to start a discussion....

Comments and thoughts very welcome and please note that we have not decided to sell her yet as after the recent refurb., we think she's looking pretty smart...., but as we are facing changes anyway, we felt this was an option worth exploring...

Navigator is an ace looking boat Alf, a proper ship. I know you've always looked after her having followed your posts over the years. Difficult to advise price as I imagine there aren't many examples to compare the market with.
Other sales sites to consider when you do list her, are Apolloduck and Yachtworld.

She is a lovely boat and has benefitted greatly from your commitment to improve and perfect her over the years, as well as keeping you all safe during your cruises around Scotland.
I cannot comment on her value or ways to present to the market, no doubt there will be plenty who can help.

I would have a go on eBay too.

no other site has the sort of reach that eBay does which is good and bad.
Do it as a fixed price with offers. The saving grace is your location in that regard. You’re unlikely to get fender kickers willing to travel that far so any viewings are likely to be genuine

Navigator is full GRP hull and superstructure ... and the DD's have around 2,200 hrs on the clock... in respect to rebuilds, these are in-line 6's and not among the "highly stressed units" where they took out 485 HP of the 6/71's... Our install take out around 400 HP... and at that rating they should go on for a long time still ... However, if you calculate with a rebuild for a higher stressed unit (estimate rebuild at 1500 hrs), then there is about 1400 hrs left before re-build ought to be considered.
 
Just to close the loop....

We speculatively put Navigator up for sale on a website on a Wednesday and by Saturday we had our first viewing and offer...... so it is with mixed emotions that I now say that Navigator is under new ownership after 16 years of ownership, great journeys and a lifetime worth of experiences....

I'll keep an eye in here, but probably not as frequent, so if anyone feel that they could benefit from some of my experience, please send me a PM so we can exchange e-mail addresses etc., as an alternative means of communication.
