Well done. I must say when I read this thread there was all sorts of advice from the very simple to the well extreme. Looks like it was a simple fix in the end

To be fair there was multiple problems which skewed it. Over heat unrelated to performance and performance not noted before because the engine could push past the torque flat without full boost with slightly finer props. The 3 issues coming together, well, the joys of old boat ownership. Trouble comes in threes

This is often an issue with diagnosing faults, often apparent unrelated faults give strange symptoms.
