I am a relatively new boater (3 years) and I own and use in Mallorca, Spain a Crownline 260EX deckboat. I now would like to go further afield (other Balearic Islands) and am therefore thinking of buying a larger boat with accommodation.
I think around 32/33 feet is the size I want, but the key is it MUST still be a sports boat (with accommodation for 2 regulars and maybe 2 grown up kids occasionally) in that the majority of outings will be just for the day and we want to be able to take up to 6 guests (not to sleep!), so just in the cockpit. It must also have a large sunpad at the stern.
I have identified the Cranchi Endurance 33 and I just wondered if there are any other makes/models I should be looking at?
Many Thanks
Mossy

Sport Boats

Also look at Sealine S34 good accommodation and cockpit.
Fairline Targa 34 excellent performance, and good accommodation.
Jeanneau 32, Bavaria 31, There are a few Princess 366 excellent accommodation and fit out but CC 1994 -1996 models.
Good luck with your search and have fun

Superhawk

Hi,

I have a sunseeker superhawk 40 in Ibiza and it is a perfect for us and seems to meet your requirements except would be awkward for grown up kids in same salon as adults. Fantastic deck layout and sun lounge tho.

Depending on budget, you could also look at Windy Khamsin 34. There are two layouts for this boat, it sounds like you want the med layout with the sunpad. Much faster than the Cranchi, however I think the Cranchi 33 is a great choice if you want a big sunpad on this size of boat, and good value if you don't want the speed.

The only thing I would say against the Cranchi 33 is the mid berth (under the cockpit) is very very narrow - from memeory only 3ftish wide - so if you want your two teenagers to sleep on board with you it might be very tight indeed.

The 34/35 Khamsin as suggested by Nick is a great boat, as is the 32/33 Scirrocco also from Windy.

One boat that represents excellent value at the m,oment is the Cranchi Endurance 39. Loads of lounging space, garage for your tender and two prober sized doubles in seperate cabins. You can get 2000/2001 boats now for under £90k and to me that represents real value!

advice please

A big thank you each and all, definitely food for thought. I understand that Wndy boats are realtively high priced and, whilst I have no interest in cheap and nasty, they MAY prove too pricey. I will though definitely take a look.
Does anyone know why, given it's a new trendy model, Cranchi are NOT showing their Endurance 33 at Southampton?

I would guess that Abersoch Land & Sea ( the Cranchi importer for the UK) probably see the 33 as a very med orientated model and I imagine it doesnt sell well here. A berth for a mid 30ft boat at SIBS costs around £4000 (or at least it did in 07 and 08) plus you have to have two staff members for each boat etc etc etc. Its a costoly business for importers so in these hard times you sensibly limit your display to you best sellers.

The 33 is a cool boat, but its big cockpit, small cabin, no radar arch (for cover support) and that just doesnt qork so well in the UK.

Brilliant, all makes sense, thank you. I guess that's an excuse to visit some Med boat shows. Yippee.

There is a Targa 30 in Marina Menorca on sale at £75,000 ono?. Hardly moved in two years, I have a thirty next to it. Boat is calles Starlight and will do all you are asking.

Fairline Menorca are the broker.

Regards
Steve

I would look at a Cranchi Enduro 33 or the better 39! Both fit in a 12m berth although the 39 is less sporty and more cruiser. Accomodation on the 33 is tight and great for 2+2 on the 39. Atlas Marine (suncoast on here) have a nice clean Enduro 33 with Kad 300's that can be had for less than £90k in the Costa Del Sol.

The Price of Enduros in the Med have dropped significantly as they are geat day boats for Villa owners, but the bumber of Villa owners with cash has reduced somewhat.

Also consider Cranch Giada 30

Cheers

Paul

Hi, what is your budget?

I've a very nice Targa 30 for sale (in the UK)with aft sunpad and foredeck cushions. seems to fit the bill in terms of your request (she's 31'2 LOA so a touch smaller) but sleeps 4 easily. If your budget is closer to £100k then a 34 would be a better bet except it has no fixed aft sunpad
