Advice please ..... NB

If you are buying a used Porsche Boxster, its worthwhile trying to get one of the latest spec cars, NOT THE NEW ONES. About 2002/2003 Porsche changed the spec quite a bit from the old Boxster, and one of the main differences was to replace the plastic rear window with a glass one, it does make a hell of a difference.

But whatever you get enjoy.

Alistair.

Hi Pauline - Perhaps...Keep the little one for tootling around in as the Porsche will eat fuel and tyres if used for short, stop / start regular hops.

We give cars away to our top achievers and of the 5 types, one is the Boxster S. The guys I know who drive these, reckon they are brilliant and not only because they are 'free'. Certainly a better car than the earlier non S model. The new Merc SLK with the bigger engine will certainly perform as well as the Porsche and is a great looking car to boot - especially against the previous SLK, but I am biased towards Mercs. Hope this helps. Roy

Coincidently my wife was talking about boxsters over the weekend, we had noticed that 2 of our friends who have these, are both female with, erm.. "issues" and nearing a "certain age", we carried out a very scientific poll on the 6 or so we saw up the Westend over the weekend and this seemed to confirm it.

I would reccommend a 911cabriolet, if you want to avoid this stereotype !

Keep the pink pussy. There are already a few Boxsters around the marina. Besides, I got an S about 4 wks ago and they are still a rare site around here! Don't want to be common, do we?
