Take great care if you're intending to get advice from HMRC. When you buy a TV in John Lewis the guy you deal and even the head of the TV department might not know how the electronics work. They know what they wish to say and how to sell TVs of course

Jfm, I think this UK boaty VAT thing is something you need to sort out for HMRC when you retire. After you've rewritten the Colreg and drafted a standard pleasure boat insurance policy of course!
