Advice on skin fitting (metallurgical)

Checked my skin fittings yesterday on 9 year old Jeanneau. All OK except slight pink spotting on the large heads outlet. See pics at https://picasaweb.google.com/106544940609481176193/20120221

Would appreciate advice (Vyv are you there - again!) on whether it needs changing straight away or is OK for now.

They look absolutely fine. When they de-zincify the pink stuff is soft, almost crumbly, and very obvious. Give them a tap with a hammer inside the boat just to be sure there's nothing hidden.

It looks OK to me too

It does not look as though the pitting has any significant depth

If the pink colouration is only the surface there is no problem.

Yes, I agree. They don't look too bad but check by heaving on the hose and tapping with a hammer. See HR advice in another current seacock thread.
