I am hoping to go sailing around different countries around the world, stopping off for a few weeks at a time. I am totally new to this and i have no idea how to go about it, what i'll need with regards to licences, registration, insurance, or what would be good boats to use for going coastal.

I'd prefer to go using fuel and motor, but if sails are better. Please advise, Experiences/stories all welcome. Anything is useful on how much this could cost pa, or the practicalities of sailing off into the sun and emmigrating to the sea.

All/any advice useful, site links, emails. Anything welcome.

Email addy is danlindley@o2.co.uk

Thank You.

Scroll down the page to the thread called 'Advice for newbies please'. That covers a lot of stuff.

sounds like you just woke up one morning with the idea of living on the sea....? its not a bad idea also might help you develope some positive character traits like fer instance self reliance...get yourself off to a second hand book store...and persue this idea a little further....good luck and best wishes
