Advice on copper fuel pipe

I'm currently fitting two new petrol tanks to my boat. I will need to run the new copper fuel through a thick wooden bulkhead. The original pipes just passed through a tight fitting hole, but I'm worried this will wear away the pipe?
Is there a recommended way of passing the pipe through without it being prone to any wear?

I would use a bulkhead fitting if it was a long length of pipe.
