Have decided to buy a new bimi cover in stead of the cover we have that clips to the screen and only comes back to the front seats, as our last trip we were all day on the boat and no cover and we cooked ourselfs nice and brown.

Are the bimi covers straight forward in fitting, is there any i should stay away from:confused:

Any advice please that will help me in getting the right one.

Unlikely to be able to get one off the shelf as there is very little demand in the UK. If you are getting one made then you will probably need toi decide hther you want it just to shade you when stationary or whether you want it strong enough to stay up when underway.

Probably best to discuss with a specialist such as CJ Marine in Chichester, but any sailmaker or canvas worker which does sprayhoodfs etc will probably be able to help.

They are nearly always custom made, which usually involves at least 3 visits to the boats.

1) Visit and price up job

2) Visit and template bimini

3) Visit and fit

So, not as cheap as you might think!!

You can try Undercover in Dartmouth 01803 839636

There is probably someone in Torquay who could do it for you.

mark.
just make one yourself..i did
you can get the fitting of the web. ally, plastic or s/steel.
i would make the frame myself then just get the cover prof-done..

Coverworks at Dartside quay may be able to help. +1 for C&J Marine too. They are very helpful, though not cheap.
