Because the details are never hidden. There is to my mind no point in a chart which hides information when zoomed out. You may as well look at a blank piece of paper.
But I understand most people are happy to play zoom in zoom out all day.
They may not be hidden but they are certainly unreadable if too large or too small depending on magnification.
That doesn’t sway the argument for me.
BTW on my plotter I split the screen, a zoomed in and zoomed out version of the chart. I rarely have to zoom therefore.
