Advantage Sails

Yes, bought a new headsail for our Cobra 850, and had a foam luff added to the 150% Genoa by Advantage Sails.

Good quality and very reasonable prices + Mark actually cares what his sails look like on the boat!!

The Litmus Test - Would I use Advantage Sails again?

YES! Without any hesitation!

North Sails

Just fitted our New North Sails ..Brilliant .. Foam Luff for the Head Sail .. Battern to stop it flapping .. They really look good moored to a pontoon ..
Had them made with Radian which is a bit between Dacron and Mylar .. Panels cut to build shape into the sail .. Not the cheapest around but they fitted and North's did come up from the SOUTH to measure rather than take the manfacturers recomendations .. The Main looks very flat with its full length battern .. Suppose at the end of the day you pays your money and gets what you pay for .. So if you pay little you loose .. Lets face it everyone needs to make a profit so if they quote cheap you get cheap or they get them made in China .. Then they are cheap .. But how long will they last .. Our new sails were about £400 more than the cheapest .. But if they last twice as long then its worth it .. As usual .. No axe to grind .. Just a happy sailor ..

Based Brightlingsea - anyone dealt with them?

Just fitted new main and genoa by Advantage. No hassle - sails not tested yet, that is next weekends sail up to Fitting up Supper.

Also went for new spray hood, dodgers and stack pack from same company (not delivered yet but then I have been away last 2 weeks) as prices seemed good. Being a B'sea boat I thought if anything is wrong the sail maker is only 200 yards away to sort it out!
