In a further vallient attempt and despite the best endevours of Peters Marine and "God - foul weathers delivery service" I'm off to try my RYA Powerboat 2 / ICC training again on Thursday and Friday. SWMBO will be out with us on Friday so that should really increase the incidence of damage / sinkings ;-).

Thanks again for all the advice from last time - I'm looking forward to it.

BTW Any truth in the rumour Kev (B) that you've delayed the arrival of your new boat into the marina until I show some signs of competance?

Hi Neale,

The course is being organised by Tom Gregory (tomgregory@ic24.net), he is RYA approved etc.. and known to a few forum members as one of the cruise organisers (I think). Due to time constraints I've actually got one of his oppos a chap called Anthony Heaton.

Should be fun, assuming I survive then I will update with more drivel.

Cheers.

Barry, good luck. I have marked all my charts in black marker pen to show Chi as a no go area, danger to shipping etc. Let us know how it goes. Are you taking the 'Dillac for its first long blast too?

Not yet, thanks for the good wishes..

Hi JFM - Not taking the 'Dillac as the garage are still trying to clean all of it (taken them a week so far). I get it on Saturday afternoon <BG>. Could do with something to strap the dinghy on though... hint hint.

Oh dear!

Had a quick word with that nice Michael Fish, he seems to have ordered the required testing conditions for you again!

Hope the steering works! Good luck.
