BushBaby was re-launched today after a week on the hard (and in the shed!)
Legs serviced, anti-fouled and hull polished by Phil & Co of Advance Marine at Portishead - on time, under budget and a bloody good looking job to boot - well done guys!
Also thanks to Portishead Marina for lifting the boat and not dropping it!
All in all my bi-annual service carried out with minimal fuss and no hassle.
A good job jobbed by all concerned - highly recomended.

Now where is my tenner?

I noticed as I walked along the pontoon at Portishead this week that a lot of the residents could do with the same thing. The amount of growth on outdrive legs was amazing. Either you get a lot of fouling there or some people never go to sea!

glad she is back in the water now you will have to polish the top side /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif,good to see you the other day must have a beer next time will be down in a few weeks /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

I've been working on my boat in Portishead boatyard almost every night for what seems like a long time. What impressed me was that every evening and weekend that I was down there, Advance Marine were working late into the evenings (up to 8pm) and at the weekends (Saturdays and Sundays). They seem to have some level of commitment to getting the job done which is good. I've got no idea what the standard of work is like. They also seem to specialise in mobos.
