I am planning to use a PSI (Polyisocyanurate) closed cell foam insulation on the boat and am looking for a suitable adhesive to fix it to painted gel coat. I want something that will not grab too much and will cover the whole substrate so am avoiding gun applied adhesives. Will an acrylic vinyl floor adhesive do the job?

Not sure about the vinyl adhesive, may attack the foam. I have found that Gorilla glue is an amazing product, http://www.sealantsandtoolsdirect.c..._P26649.html?gclid=CJTBrtT47roCFSkHwwodHmoAkg
I am not advocating you buy it from the above, but the site describes its uses and foam is included.
I reach for mine for every gluing job, wood glued and clamped will not seperate, the host wood splits first.
Recommend it.
