According to my eyesight it actually does say 8-10000 although writing it as 8-10,000 hours makes it easier to read.

You are right. normally I do try and be precise about wording so the meaning is not in doubt. However this is one time when I was sloppy - no excuse, although in the context of the whole post it is pretty obvious what I meant. Decades of reading student essays and reports usually enables me to extract meaning from context, but appreciate that not everybody can!

The last person I knew who used Molyslip put it in his Citroen turbo diesel. The garage couldn't understand why his was the only one of its type and age which hadn't needed a new turbine! They stripped the turbine AT THEIR OWN COST they were so surprised - they said it looked like new inside. Other applications, though, don't seem to benefit from it. My Honda engine (petrol) sounds and performs like new at 15 years old. The typical, weak Honda gearbox is another matter...

Indeed. People used to add it to car gearboxes and then wonder why their overdrive was so unwilling to engage ...
