Adding extra battery to bow thruster battery bank or replace single battery?

Yes, the battery need to be able to supply a mighty current. AGM starter batteries are perhaps best suited.

Thank you for this. Is there an issue mixing AGMS, say for thruster, with engine starter and house batteries being flooded all on the same charging circuit (electric charger and alternator)?
Thanks

Not really, most charger manufacturers specify a charge voltage about 0.1v lower for AGMs than for flooded batteries. If you charge AGMs at flooded battery voltages, I can't see there's going to be a major problem. If you can adjust the charger voltage, set it to AGM setting. If you have an alternator booster, do the same.

Quite likely there will be a 0.1v drop (or more) anyway with cable length to the bow, assuming that is where the battery is..
