OK chaps, hoping the forum can issue the usual clever advice. I've always wanted a tap to go with my sink, and the Vivacity has too much locker space if anything so a tank isn't a problem. The sink is in the pic below, under the wood on the starboard side. This piece of wood doubles as the table so ideally can't be cut which to my mind leaves only mounting the tap in the shelf below the windows which I think will look messy. The alternative plan is to seal off the seacock and turn the whole thing into a coolbox. Any thoughts welcome as always.

Just a thought Not done any research .

A a foldaway tap or at least an outlet mounted inside the sink. Foot operated pump or electric pump to pump water out.

There are plenty of folding taps available for caravans etc so that would be a good place to look. We have a small folding tap in our Bongo which is supplied from a small pump that fits in a 5 litre water container

Thanks guys, I think perhaps the mounting inside the sink may be the way to go, I hadn't even considered that!

Thanks that foldaway one is perfect, can't believe I've never seen them before as I'm in the shop all the time.
Cheers
Dave

I put a Whale 5 on Paean. I quite liked that the tap and pump were in one unit. For a tank I got a 10L water container, drilled a 18,mm hole for the pipe and a v small air hole and strapped it under the bunk.

Problems: We I dont like to drink from the tap - I always drink bottled water and the tap does leak a little when in use but it is small, useful for swilling things off and was quite cheap to fit.

The Whale foot pump that was linked earlier is the one I installed on our boat a few months back. It's very good, wifey loves it as it means she can use a smaller quantity of water without running the electric pump.

Just a thought for you, careful with locating foot operated pump on boat without standing headroom... You might be better with hand operated pump even if remote..

Second thought it buy the insulation and insulate existing sink but KEEP plug hole and even fit tap so you can use it as either. If Tap is located right you can always get to it to fill kettle or washing up boul.

If sink is insulated you can through some bags of ice in there to keep your beer/ wine/ gin & tonic cold. When the Ice melts you open seacock and drain water away...

Present boat has Ice box and no drain very frustrating...
