I have a stainless calorifier that currently relies purely on the engine for heat. I'd like to adapt my current tank with some sort of weld on attachment that will allow me to screw in a standard electric element. I'm reluctant to by a replacement tank because the original is in excellent nick.
Any idea where I might buy the bit I need? Many thanks

Your local engineers will do the whole job for you, or just buy a piece of stainless off Ebay and make up the fitting yourself. Make sure you use a double insulated marine element to avoid earth leakage problems/

Don't use a standard copper sheathed immersion heater in a stainless steel tank......... Use Incoloy or better still titanium!
