Also, not much difference in price. Sea-Me is £450 at Marine Superstore.

I believe Sea-Me is shortly releasing an S and X band active system, to comply with "soon-to-be-agreed-legislation" that reflectors must comply with S and X band reflections....I have some info on this somewhere. Will go looking is anyone's interested.
