I need to get a washboard made by someone local to Portsmouth/Gosport. Any recommendations in that area? Perspex/acrylic to replace an old wooden one so they can use the old one as a pattern.

Perspex is acrylic. The alternative is polycarbonate, which is what riot shields are made of.
You'll find other local suppliers probably in the telephone directory / Yellow pages / Yell.com

I had some perspex windows made by that firm last summer. The price was OK and the delivery fast.

Sunlight made some instrument pod facias and a couple of windows for me - efficient and reasonably priced

Yet another vote for Sunlight. Had some washboards made up earlier this year and very satisfied.
