What are the panels thoughts on changing the easily sourced Panasonic lithium batteries in an ACR plb?

Difficult decision. The batteries only cost a few quid, but professional replacement is around £110. However, the professionals say that they also test the correct operation of 406MHz, 121.5MHz and GPS functions, and you probably can't do this yourself. £110 every 5 years is only £22 a year, and for peace of mind you may consider it's worth paying.

Prob is it is in Portugal and I would have to hand luggage it home, I know the rules are that Ryanair say yes butthe Prosegur pep,e at the airport are a law unto themselves
