Achilles 24 with outboard on transom ?

Am looking at buying an Achilles 24 (Triple Keel) with a inboard diesel engine.
Aparrently the engine wont run even after a 3 hour mechanic visit.
So, is it feasable to fit an Outboard on the transom.
I have tried to find another inboard engine but there is non available.

Or would anyone have an Achilles 24 outboard version for sale , with trailer.

There is one in North Wales witha petrol sail drive and one Darn Sarf with an outboard on a bracket
Be better prospect than an inboard deisel Jim

This is by far the best solution for an Achilles!
Reduced cockpit space is a trade off for ease of engine useas prop is deeper in the water!

Agree, saildrive would ok ish but an outboard on the transome still better than a inboard diesel lump. imho

My son hD one with an outboard in a well. 6jp pushed it along very well. Outboard could be stored under the cabin sole and a plug fitted for faster sailing. I thought it was normal that boat.
