Absolute Tides Android App

Hi

Absolute Tides app appears to have disappeared from the Android app store. When I try in-app purchasing for next year I get a 'can't find' error, searching in the store also fails to find it. I've emailed support but no response yet.
Anyone else getting the same or any info?

Thanks, I'll take a look. I've installed the Imray to try but I liked the simplicity of Absolute and that it is/was the same as HM admiralty.

I use Absolute tides on IOS and upon checking just now it prompted that tidal 25’ data is available to download so it seems to be alive and kicking on the iPad.

I have a feeling that there was an issue with the data download in previous years as well.

I suspect it's a technical snafu by the Google Play store, rather than the app has been dropped, as the 2025 data is showing as available to buy. I wouldn't expect to see that if it wasn't supposed to be available.

Yes, I saw it was still on the Apple store, I wondered if Google had changed some terms that the developer couldn't meet as per other good apps in the past..

Before changing tides app, it is always worth checking what the source of the tidal data is. It can vary by quite a lot.

One great thing about the Absolute Tides app is that it uses the official UKHO tidal data, so at least matches official tables (even if actual tides don’t read the book some days).

I downloaded 2025 tides for a port a few weeks ago and just downloaded an additional 2025 port so my existing Absolute Tides app is still working

I have heard back from Darren, the developer, it is an admin issue with Google and should be back up in a few days.

I also just had a reply from the Absolute Tides developer:- "

Thanks for the heads up. It's an administrative issue with Google that hopefully I've now rectified (they now require a photo of my identity). It might take a few days for Google to put the app back.
