About 20 boats from RCC heading up your way.

Ahem.....

Howard... thoroughly enjoy visiting the most excellent River Thames and have always received without exception,a first class service from all the lockeepers.

Misunderstanding

I only ask , because it seemed that him and Watson1959 don't think too highly of the Thames locks ...

absolutely untrue....I think very highly of the locks and (with one exception) had received a warm, helpful, instructive, patient welcome from all keepers.

What I dont think highly of is buckets full of petunias, lobelias and other such annuals. Never have, never will....personal preference. As I said previously, for me they are in the same category as knitted bog-roll holders

Are you trying to upset the Broom owners? You will get their net curtains twitching!

I've said it before , but the lock keepers rule of thumb is that you can tell a boaters position in the club house hierachy by the size ( and contents ) of the fruitbowl. ;)

My bits and pieces "down there " are definately Broom ! ....does that count ?

....and if you bunged a bolt of lightening into our rather mouldy fruit bowl you would create some sort of life form, probably the sort that buys sports boats or even worse ..... :)

Is there any worse sort?? Most of us cant even afford a fruit bowl.........never mind petrol at Hobbs prices!

Quote of the week :D

Wait till CEX54 sees what you wrote

I think Fred got as far as Goring when he came to the last Windsor forum get together, quite scary seeing Sarah T up there, but of course he wasn't a member of RCC in those days!

How did Fred get that far up river? From what I hear, he has a problem with hitting islands and there are plenty of them between teddington and goring.
