Brief details: Name 'Bluefang' - approx. 6/7m loa - French build, probably Jouet or similar - dark blue hull - white/light grey coachroof and decks - fin keel - tiller steering - dark blue sprayhood and boom cover - White mainsail (no sign of jib) - Yamaha outboard which has now been submerged, so obviously not working any more.

No clue as to identity of owner, as no charts or paperwork on board. Found abandoned a few days ago at Richborough Wharf, just inside entrance to River Stour in East Kent. Enquiries are also being made via French and Belgian marinas, as indications are, that the yacht has probably been stolen from over there for Channel crossing by persons unknown.

Yacht presently tied up at Sandwich Town Quay under the watchful eye of local HM.

Please PM me if anyone recognises the above description of this craft, as we would really like it to be reunited with it's rightful owner!

Some pretty adventurous immigrants or smugglers. The Stour is a tricky entrance at the best of times.
