I actually pondered the morality of posting excerpts of YM on the forum and came to the conclusion that as both the magazine and the forum are published by the same entity, and that posts from here are repeated in the magazine without seeking the permission of the poster, I could assuage my conscience.

What's the problem? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif Many sailors have seem to have problems with close quarter manouvering. There are so many ways out of this it's hardly worth mentioning. (eg dingy, jumpstart, hand crank, ropes, anchor, wind drift, ferry glide, rope work, fenders, wind and tide working for you, etc, etc)
