So many things going on at the moment, and unfortunately, sailing isnt one of them.

I have therefore decided that September (which is relatively empty at the moment) is to be re-named as Summer. It will be hot, the winds will be consistent, there will be no rain, and there will be BBQ's galore. I will be out sailing every week and most weekends. There will be no problems with the boat, everything will work perfectly, and the jobs list will not grow.

i will visit the Deben, hang off the hook in Hamford at least twice, visit Southwold and also, for old times sake, Bradwell, Brightlingsea, west Mersea, and if having taken sufficient brave pills, Tollesbury.

i will be too busy sailing to send postcards.

So there.

Am I the only one who revelled in the weather this weekend?
I had a skull splitter grin both days.
My tub only gets to 8+ knots when provoked......

However, Mrs FC was glad to receive the trip report, and more glad she wasn't on board.

we had a blast on saturday - but I'll have to save that story for off line! Didn't get very far though. Me and HWMO were due out last night and back tomorrow, but we got delayed at home and I'm still at home!

I did wonder after reading your report! :D

Nope...... Got down to SYH late Saturday, only had time for a quick jaunt on Wild Otter. Met up with Habebty on Sat evening for a couple of beers. Sunday took advantage of the invitation of a spin on Habebty, South Cork bouy 28 - 35 knots at Landguard tower, then up to Ipswich. A rather different sailing experience on a go faster rocket like her to Wild Otter's steady motion. big grin factor though.....thanks Pete very enjoyable day.:D

Jealous, jealous. Would like to have a go on that 290

I was wondering why the weather turned c**p as soon as September started.
Now we know.

I have cut our 2 weeks short after spending most of this week hideing from the gales in Brightlingsea.
Back home now to earn some browny points.

Thanks Alan.
I hope your cheeks are not TO sore.;)
