a weekend in Suffolk - where to eat in Ipswich on Friday night?

There is a steel one in Fox`s
she had extensive re-plating done from the inside 2 yrs ago. she went afloat for a few weeks & has been ashore since. Maroon & cream double ender
We looked at her before we bought Phoenix.... lovely boat, but (IMHO) a strange layout below.... and very little storage, especially shelving... which wouldn't have worked for us as a potential liveaboard.

If she's the one i'm thinking of, I towed her from Harwich back to Pin Mill in about 2005 after her engine packed up... didn't realise she was a ferro until the tow line went taut and we stopped dead!!!! :D

That could be about right. Lost patience with the old engine (mercedes or bukh?) and re-engined with the Volvo that year...

But you're right: we don't speak of it.
A true gentleman never tells. ;)

Not tried to tow a ferro boat, but on one of my first outings in Karouise I towed a Westerly Ketch into Bradwell. Was impressed what the 10hp could cope with!

I quite like Jacqueline A too!! Would you consider part x of a Cutlass 27?

Give him a call/email - details on the website.

Edit: he has a logon here - SeadogSmith

We are around this weekend if you fancy a chat/putting a face to a profile.
We used to have a steel boat before Mermaid - a Robert Tucker. We lived on her for eight years. Still live on board now.....

thanks - we will come and find you. Whereabouts?

I think we met before once - was it you that played in a band at Sixpence's pub? Maybe I'm thinking of someone else.
