A weekend in Sant Carles

The real issue for night work is what seemed like thousands of pot markers. No problem at all in daylight but they made SCM basically a non starter or at least a v difficult starter for anyone wanting to enter or leave port in darkness. Thus, finding the night time channel markers is academic imho because you are unlikely to night sail much anyway.

My first time in was in the dark - albeit with an experienced pilot on board in the shape of Hurricain - but we had no problems at all

As JFM says
There are absolutely no problems with depth.
Yes, there are, in fact, two marked channels - one leads to the cement works quay about 5 miles south of SC.
The other marks a safe channel into Sant Carles itself.
However, you don't need to use any of the channels - just keep about 150m away from the south western edge/corner of the lagoon.
Have a look at the charts - they are very accurate - you will see that there is plenty of depth - all over.

Here is an example
Note that the Lagoon is about 7 miles long by about 1.5 miles wide - even I can navigate through that without hitting the bottom!!

I just paid for 5% of an Azimut....

Yes, sorry for the mistake ... I was there without my computer fired up and going on memory so couldn't remember the name of your boat but convinced myself it was an Azimut ... thought I'd remember the boat name when I saw it so made a b-line for the first Azimut I saw ...... anyway, nice marina.
