A very special Notice to Mariners for all Bradwell/Maldon based peeps

Disguise? Frame it as a backdrop I think is what they plan. Don't worry the power station will be gone in 85 years - oh, damn, I'll miss that. But Bradwell 2 will be here before then anyway.

I heard Monday that the windmills have been delayed as one of the approach roads is substandard and has to be replaced, something to do with possible damage to the transporters tyres.

I know this might not be a popular point of view, but both Nuclear and Wind generation are subsidised (waste storage for thousands of years and wind generation premium). But at least when we are finished with wind there is no mega decommissioning costs that the taxpayer picks up, or radioactive concrete to sort out. I like the Gunfleet and Thames array, something majestic about them. Much nicer then the great monolithic block at Bradwell. Although all of 'em make great navigation marks for us visually challenged types.

Apparently there was virtual gridlock in the Danbury/Maldon area today as one of the transporters had a breakdown, (mechanical not nervous).

Looking at the Nat Grid gauges I am frightemed to put the kettle on for a cuppa now!!!

I agree particularly at night. It is like a fairyland out there. Years ago coming across the Thames Estuary you hoped to see the lights of Clacton if it was clear. Now there are lights everywhere and as you get close a nice comforting 'Whoosh' noise.
