I've kept pretty quiet about it, but this year we decided to code our boat. So far, it's been a learning experience mixed with a lot of fun as we have had some lovely people on-board as guests. Here is the website: www.corribcharter.com (feedback welcome)

Last week was a very special charter though. Last month I was contacted by a guy stating that he wanted to propose to his girlfriend on-board! I was as nervous as him that everything would go to plan, but, SHE SAID YES!!

A truly wonderful day for all of us, I was delighted it went smooth.

Here are some pics that the couple were happy for me to share...
Inchagoill island - A small island (although one of the largest on the lake) steeped in history with magical woodland walks...

(Please ignore the fenders, there was a boat moored next to us before pic was taken)

Well done with the new venture. Good way to offset the costs of having a boat and have some fun at the same time, I'm sure. Imho, the site is good with the right info and congrats for the very favourable reviews :).

That must be one of the best wake shots to date.

My only comments on the website-
Home page- do you charter by the hour, day, week? Possibly include the price of your 'cheapest' deal to get people hooked.
Too many views of the rear of the boat ie three of basically the same picture. Do you offer overnights? Looks like it from the cabin shots.
Include a picture on the home page of a 'party' having fun in the cockpit with plenty of smart food and champers.

Great website overall and good luck!

Thanks guys for the kind words and website feedback. All taken on-board (for next season, won't be getting any pics between now and March 2015!)

Sorry to dig up an old thread Alt. A friend of herself was very excited having returned from a yacht charter on Lough Corrib a few weeks ago for her fathers 60th and thoroughly enjoyed the experience by the sounds of it. I assume it was you as she described the couple running the business as "in their late twenties or early thirties":p

Anyway nice to hear good feedback! Well done!

Wow, small world, eh! Yeah, that was us, I remember the group... lovely bunch of people, really enjoyed having them.

Although, I think you mid-heard... i'm sure they said "looked like they were in their early twenties" :p

Our son arranged it as he knows how much I like boats and water. He works out there as a chef, first at Cooper Island and now at Soper's Hole. The BVI are great for sailing. Apart from hurricane season obviously.
