Met up with some friends in Cowes today and was introduced to a very nice SeaRay - a 300 SLX. 30 foot of raw power! Twin 350 Magnums. In itself so what! But with the Axius Drive system. Interesting little baby!

And to add to it all - it's a bow rider! Optional engine and Axius upgrade, an additional £30K, but the owner loves it. Reckons he gets around 1.5 m/gall. But at WOT - well ............ where's the tanker!

Mmm... 600hp on a heavy(ish) 30 footer?
I would want them on each side, to start talking of raw power... :D

But then you advise putting trim tabs on a single outboard 13 footer with a 25hp O/B that probably doesn't even rate at 25hp given its age! Not sure where you are coming from.

The boat does around 55 knots at full chat.

looks nice!!! fancy a go on that for sure!!!

I did a sea trial on a SeaRay 220 with a 6.1 litre last week - scary boat at WOT. But it was fun!!!! Mind you, I know someone who has a nice "new" boat that I'm looking forward to working on.

I got your PM - speak later in the week. Teaching from now until Friday - could do Saturday if that's OK?

Yeah, downhill.
So, since the same boat is built also with big blocks, I suppose she could win the LOTO shootout in such version?!? :D

Btw, what has that to see with suggesting trim tabs on a boat which has holeshot troubles? If you have a better suggestion, just post it. Cuchilo might be interested to hear it.

One of my all time favourite boats the sea ray 220 with a 6.2, fantastic wake for boarding and as you say good fun wot.

Must have put about 50 hours on one last season - thirsty little sod mind.

Fantastic boats :-)

I have the old version in spain without the updated drives but still with the twin magnums...a beast!!

I nearly brained myself the first time i put it into a tight turn, the G force bashed my head agains the radar arch!!! on another occassion (despite me warning her) my wife had similar treatment...yes, that was the last time i was allowed WOT with her on board... win win :-)
