I suspect he doesn't really want to sell her.
Why not? He's been racing and cruising the yacht he 'upgraded' to, for several seasons now.

No, I'm just saying that changing proven product, with price of 200, to another material (which may cost them just a couple pounds less) is illogical to me. So what am I, as customer, expected to pay 200 for?I think you'll find yourself out of synch with a lot of people arguing that line. DZR is accepted by many many people as being suitable below the waterline. Are you also suggesting that every boat with cast iron ballast or keels is sub standard? You'll upset a lot of people making that claim as well.
That's not what I said. And just because there's 'brass' in the name doesn't mean that DZR isn't a material suitable for the job. As I said before, you are out of sync (and just getting stroppy) with most everyone else on this subject for not a lot of good reason..So you think brass is the same and equal material - well, I have another opinion.
Good job that Jabsco loos are china with painted wooden seats then or everyone would be feeling seen off and inferior.....Glad the boat came with one cos i would never buy one at the price. But it is really nice having a proper bog onboard instead of a piece of plastic.![]()

Hmm I'm still trying to work out who makes plastic loos?

Ooh I thought Plastimo had gone out of business. Not seen many boats with them fitted either. Its not the lightest as I have been on a boat with a carbon fibre head - see below.Plastimo - part number 12325. Lightest head on the market, AIUI. Popular for racing boats where a head is required by the rules - frequently a boat rule that the head never used - bucket & chuck it instead.
Yes I was aware of this one but I wasn't calling it plastic.
This thread seems to be attracting people who want to be smug about their loos.
My original post about the insane price of £4k or £10k for a toilet is still at the top of my mind. And for those who make comments about their loos I suppose its human nature to always try and justify what you have chosen.
I spent some time, a few years ago, on a racing trimaran which had been handbuilt by its owner. . . . . . My friend's posh bog was hand-built, in traditional style, as a near-exact copy of a little Jabsco....
