Just about sums up my present situation - first thread on the new forum and sitting at Shillingford where its been absolutely bucketing down!
Called in to pay our respects at Castle Ashmount earlier this morning and entertained Byron to coffee and bikkies.
Just after passing under Shillingford Bridge the heavens opened so, with no windscreen wipers, had an interesting few minutes before deciding discretion was better than valour and moored up. Prob stay the night here now.
Theres a dredger working just above the lock cut above Benson and boy does it need it. Had to literally drive over the bottom. And this is where the suckyblowythingie was supposed to have done such a good job last year !!! Hey-ho.........
Hopefull Abingdon tomorrow but will depend on weather.
