Anyone following my trials and tribulations with my new car would know that I have been quite frazzled (and thank you all for your empathy and council).
So we decided to drive to San Tropez to have a nice day out and relax. But the forecast in the morning had changed, from a slight breeze to dead calm. So we decided to take the boat instead, that will guarantee to relax me!
The sea was amazing and the sun shining

Believe me it was a lot calmer this morning
So I do an engine check...and disaster ! There is fluid in the bilge. It’s really really difficult to reach the bilge but there is an inch of diesel. I find a dripping fuel connection and nip it up. Hopefully (touch wood) it’s fixed now it’s time for the clean up. I went to the chandlers and bought some absorbent cloths

Like I said it was extremely difficult to get access, the package says to put the oil filled cloth back in the bag and dispose of environmentally. Sensible advice.
So I am squeezed under the motor when I notice that I have a secondary diesel spill all over my deck !
Turns out that they have punched holes in the bottom of the plastic bag! The sort they put in to prevent a child suffocating.
Anyhow that is my morning. I’m at the port of Hyeres having lunch. Which is a pretty good default position and tomorrow I will continue the cleanup.
After my week if I don’t win the euro millions lottery tonight then I will know that there is no justice in the universe ??
