After last night's horrific weather in the Highlands, thought I'd inspect the boat for what needed fixed.
Suprisingly it stood up to the torrential rain and gales better than I thought.
So... On the mid cabin (bayliner 2655) I've a leak thru the roof. Now, it's a defined patchpatch, I've felt it, no fixings. Measured it, and looked externally, no fixings, can fibreglass just let water through?? I checked all round the area and it's bone dry inside, so I cant find any little channels from elsewhere.
Also noticed it looks like water is seaping in from the brackets on the pulpit up on the bow. Not a lot, but enough to spot it, am I best to use this 'creeping crack' fluid I've read about and put a bit of sealant on the screws?
Seems to of damaged 2 zips also, hopefully get them re stitched as they werent thier best anyway.
The pvc/plastic bimini appears to have had it, has various drips., I assume I can't waterproof it as I've a can of water repellant stuff kicking about? I'll have to price up a new one.
