Providing it's above zero degrees I'm warm in my sleeping bag. But it's difficult to move.

Interesting how different the various forecasting web sites can be - like you I've been checking frequently. Am assuming the Met Office site is most reliable - any thoughts?

None of them are really reliable for more than 24 hours in advance. Despite that we do keep looking at the Met Office site in the vain hope that we will get away this BH weekend.

If the forecast stays as is we are going back to Pollington for our curry :D

You can wrap up agains the cold, stick the heating on and still enjoy a decent cruise.

Had this been in the Lounge (but where boaty threads are banned) I would respond appropriately :D

In here I will keep it polite: softies :D

ps......lucky sods....I'd love heating!

It is strange how many times we have been called softies for having heating yet at the end of the evening ours is always the full boat.....:D

I'm not calling you soft if your going downstream on the Trent this weekend:eek:
It's in flood and Newark flood gates have been closed,I was there at Lunch time and its very high,The Brayford is on flashing reds at the Glory Hole
I'd check with a call to Neil at Torksey first and maybe have a pontoon party instead :D
You could always hit the Chinese(like Mark did;))let us know what you doing as I can feel a beer attack coming on

Newark flood gates are open again as the river levels have dropped over night. The river is still flowing fast but nothing to be too concerned about other than a lot of debris to look out for. Might even break our speed record of 36 knots with a little help from the fresh :D

Had a word with Neil already, he says we are good to go. One good thing about the current river levels is we wont be running out of water in a hurry. If we ground it this weekend we are really in trouble.......

We have moored opposite the chinese for almost 4 years and have not hit it yet. Make of that what you will.....

Best not to mention Mark and Sue for a while around Liam or me for or the other way round for a while after last Fridays events. But thats another story altogether and not for a public forum.
