Morning All

Just to say there will probably be a more formal welcome by Elaine, the Editor of Yachting World but given the nature of the title they are never here!

Yes this is a dedicated forum for yacht racing, tech and design which is what Yachting World thrives on. Of course there are many more but there are already forums on here that cover some of these items so we decided to concentrate on these three obvious areas.

So with a full summer of Cowes activity about to start why not get stuck in!

Hi Laika, I take 'tech' to be a shortened version of 'technology'. It doesn't mean 'computer stuff', it could equally well refer to the technology of the dipping lugsail, if it's being used in a yacht race.

I don't think it has to be race orientated. Tech, design and racing might be more apt.
