A question on fuel prices

I saw the bloke(Ryan) off the blue ribs that operate in the bay filling up in tescos Penarth the other night, he had lots of of 25 ltr containers in the back of his van for the next day,he told me his rib uses 500 quids worth of fuel a day on a busy day.thats a lot of fuel for one rib,and he operates two.surely the marina must realise they are doing themselves out of lots fuel business by charging £1.30 a ltr and need to stay competitive.

Considering the rib is 500hp, £500 is quite good. Our 175hp cost £70 to do Cardiff-Barry and back. Doing it again today.

Thank you for you replies.

I guess I'll carry on using my can's and filling up at Morrisons then.

I agree with Chrishelen, it really is a pity that the marina is not more compeditive with their prices. I for one would rather fill up at a proper pontoon, than carry petrol around in a can then have to pour it into my tank.

I wonder if that would work........a drive through water bound filling station. Run by tesco or asdas.
Would be good but doubt they would do it.
They could have McDonalds drive throgh next to it!!

if money can be made I am tesco would do it would be great fill up and get the bread, milk, coffee and what ever else there sell in express stores, think it would hiss some marines off but would it work !!?
