Hi there – I’m trying to find some skilled tradesmen to help out with some upgrades we want to make on our Lagoon catamaran.

If you’re an SCM resident and can recommend any tradesman against the list of installations below, I’d be very grateful:

- Holding tanks
- A washing machine
- A reverse flow air conditioner (with heating, probably Webasto)

Many thanks - Stacey

P.S. I've posted here rather than YM Scuttlebutt or Liveaboard forums as there appear to be far more SCM residents on the Mobo forum (no offence meant :))

Have you tried looking at the QRP (Quick Reference Page) on www.scmchat.com (our berth holders discussion forum)?

Ah, many thanks for your quick response and the reference to the QRP - I hadn't spotted that on the website...looks like a very useful page!
Hopefully I'll get some personal feedback from those who've actually used some of the suppliers listed. Happy to receive via PM.

Cheers - Stacey

As Mike has said - Roberto is well known in the marina, I type this whilst sitting in the wind and sun on my boat, Coral Rae - L306.... He last AF'd my boat and I will use him again this year, he does all sorts of boat work and also has a chandlers in Town!

Have you tried the 'New Map' feature found on the Home Page of SCMCHAT? If you click on a link it shows you its location in town, don't forget to use the zoom to street level to get a close-up. Lots of useful places/info there all added by berth holders!

Mike
can anyone join the forum you mention or do you have to be a berth holder, I ask as it would be nice to sit in the back ground and view posts as we are seriously thinking of going med next year and really like the look of s/c marina
cheers shawn

No problem - just register and browse away.
Please join in some of the discussions as well if you like.

As John says, have a look at the New Map software that I put together last year.
Lots of SC berth holders have contributed but showing their favorite restaurants, anchorages and supermarkets etc

A recent discussion was over our favorite supermarket - the Mercadona - which recently closed.
That was a shock - where was I going to get that cheap Cava (1 euro 68 cents a bottle)
All turned out OK though the Mercadonna have opened a new and better supermarket at the top of town - phew!!
