A proper Mobo

beautifully presented and represents formidable value for money. With a 14ft beam on a LOA of 70ft, I bet she rolls a bit.

I like the wicker basket on the aft deck pics :)

I don't know if she would roll much more than a Nelson for instance, or a Hardy? She has what appears to me to be a good all weather hull form?

She is a class act though aint she:)

I take it you aren't impressed then?

She's good on the eye I agree. Trouble is, the good lord hasn't made enough hours in the day to keep a thing like that maintained. Bring on the plastic.

Our previous mobo had a dark blue hull, teak toerail capping (or is it called coaming topping?), wooden wheelhouse doors etc. The ratio of hours spent on maintenance to hours loafing was far too rude to print here. Maybe I'll take a different view if and when I ever retire.

All valid points, but surely somebody buying that would be thinking of having a yard to maintain her?

Beautiful classic old boat, but possibly a maintenance nightmare as most old boats can be.

Found the dominant white panals on the interior a little cold to my personal taste. Wonder how echoey inside it is with all the hard surfaces. A labour of love for somebody with the time or funds to maintain her.

A wooden boat that size should be viewed as a liability rather than as an asset.

DIY ownership is not really viable long term on something that big, so it requires the depth of pockets to have it yard maintained.

Its a lovely boat, built by a good yard.

Is that a sailing dinghy I spy on the rear desk?!?!? Must be a relative of JFM!

She has a desk on her rear???;) Aft deck dear boy.:D

She seems to have carried a dinghy on her aft coach roof, in earlier times, it now looks like it is just used as a sun lounger?

You like it crusty because it has one of the big sticks on it, you could almost put a sail on it!

Joking aside, lovely classic boat, love to see them, espicially when owned by someone else!

I have to be honest, even if I had the money to buy her, I would have a very big think about it. She deserves to be looked after in the manner to which she has become accustomed. I would worry about her I think. If truth be told, I think that if I were to be in the market place for a mobo, my thoughts would be running along the lines of a Hardy 42, a fifty would be very nice, but they are eye wateringly expensive.

I just thought that some of the forumites might enjoy seeing her though, she is in a style from another era, but beautifully built and maintained.
