Go past the pontoons in Brightlingsea, take the first channel to starboard and wiggle your way as far as possible. An excellent mudpluggers paradise with lots of real boatyard stuff, a proper launching ramp, piles of timber, barges and projects

Or if you are sensible take the road from St Osyth to Point Clear.
