A pre-season get together

As a friend of ours is also staying overnight at Shotley, we've now made alternative plans.

We have now been booked to be elsewhere on Saturday but may pop over for a bite to eat tomorrow night instead - assuming there is space.
Been promising ourselves to go back ever since the famous Men In Spex/Blue Bark November the Fifth special.

Just to report in that we did indeed visit the Five Bells on Friday evening and both had excellent meals. All cooked entirely to our satisfaction. I even got 'no carbs' despite forgetting to mention it when booking (sorry!)

Saw the latest instalment of the 'door' fiasco. I'm sure Dave will be along to elaborate at some stage.

Well worth the trip up the road.

Good to hear everyone has enjoyed eating here since we started cooking ourselves, but as for the door, I'm keeping quite after a meeting with our area manager

Apparently he's going to get the man that said it was fine to make it that size, to pop over and see if he can get through it

That could be fun watching

Somehow I don't think this off season meet thing is going to work out, before we know it everyone is going to be having a launcheon meet
